If you have shares certificates physically and want to convert them into Demat, first you should open a Demat account. To open a Demat account click here and follow the steps.
- 1: Register with your mobile number and e-mail
- 2: Enter your full details like Aadhaar and PAN
- 3: You will be redirected to e-aadhaar site, enter OTPs required for e-KYC
- 4: Finally, your Demat will be opened in 1 hour and you will receive Demat Account number.
After having your Demat account opened, download a CMR (Client Master Report) copy. A DRF form should be filled with the details of your Demat account and your signature as per PAN card. These documents DRF form, CMR copy along with Original share certificate, PAN card and Aadhaar card should be sent to the broker company and convert your old share certificate to Demat.
