Generally, companies issue dividend in the form of cheques, if the shares are in physical mode. If the shares are in Demat, in some cases the companies directly credits the dividends into Demat account.
Companies conduct Board meetings and announce the dividend. You have to check your shares either it may be physical mode or in Demat mode on the Record date provided by the company, then only you are eligible for receiving the dividend.
If you don not receive any dividend, you can directly contact the company or Demat broker.
